Become A Coach
What do you think makes a good business coach? A management consultant wanting to evolve into coaching; not rolling up their
sleeves and doing it all for their client? A bulldog type salesperson with a voracious appetite to prospect and convert?
Are you any of those?
A good, no a great coach possesses these traits. There’s something else that
makes a great coach. There’s a couple of another traits that are almost intangible. They're not traits that you can
measure as a Key Performance Indicator on a sheet of paper. Yet it is the absence of these traits that stacks the annals of
business coaching history with failure after failure after failure. Let me tell you that there are literally coaching carcasses
everywhere. I know; I’ve seen them… I am consistently stepping over them on my day to day journeys to visit my
clients.
Here’s a tip. If you possess these traits then you are already successful. Not just in business;
in life. Do you want to know what they are?
Belief and attitude.
Simple isn’t it? No! Read them again,
slowly, and take a moment to understand what belief and attitude mean to you.
Do you have the belief that when the going gets
tough (and believe me, to establish yourself as a reputable coach, there will be tough times) that you are a great coach?
Do you possess an unwavering belief that you have great information to impart? Information that will propel a business owner forward.
Do you have a steely attitude that isn’t offended when a prospect says ‘no’? When the brickbats come
thick and fast and penetrate mere mortals, leaving them offended and hurt?
Without an unwavering belief and attitude
you will become a statistic. At ABC you will get the necessary training, nurturing, mentoring and back-up that a fledgling coach
requires. You will be held accountable. You will be pushed into situations where you will have to learn fast… you
will have someone walking every step with you at ABC. However we cannot give you a new set of beliefs or a new attitude, you must
bring it with you to become a rare coaching breed… think about it before you call OK?
